A few years ago, I realized my passion for interiors when I began to redecorate my home. Afterwards, I'd dream about redecorating it again...Somehow, this interest in interior design led me to the field of professional organizing where I had the pleasure of working with Janet Schiesl of Basic Organization.
A torch was lit and after nearly 20 years of working in nonprofit, association management I took a chance on following my passion and launched Jillian & Leigh, Home and Lifestyle Co. J&L currently offer various services including professional organizing.
Growing up as a native Washingtonian (DC born and raised), family and literacy was a huge part of my childhood. I wanted to build a family-oriented, mission-based company that support literacy efforts. So I named my company after my mommy (Veronica Jill) & me (Haleema) and I will donate 10% of all profits to our literacy arm, JL Reads.
Given my love for literacy, you can often find me with a book in hand. Day dreaming about luxury homes, decor, and accessories. Or, planning national and international travel adventures. I consider myself a lifelong learner and am excited to develop educational resources about organizing and productivity.
