NABPO General MEETING

Location:  Virtual Meeting Only

Topic: Organizing as Decision Support: Moving Beyond the Edit

Description:  Professional organizing frequently involves supporting clients through decision fatigue, cognitive overload, and delayed decision-making—not just creating systems. This session reframes organizing as a form of decision support, offering professional organizers a practical lens for understanding stalled progress, client hesitation, and overwhelm. Participants will explore approaches that support clarity, maintain ethical boundaries, and contribute to more sustainable organizing work.

This month's speaker is: Allana Joyner-Stephens

Allana Joyner-Stephens is a professional organizer and educator whose work focuses on the relationship between physical space, decision-making, and cognitive overwhelm. Drawing from her client work and professional collaboration, she offers practical, ethical approaches that support clarity and sustainable change. Allana currently serves as the Professional Learning Chair for the National Association of Black Professional Organizers.
